Sweetwater announces the latest generation of its exclusive Creation Station music and audio computers, which are optimized for audio production and built to provide whisper-quiet operation in theaters, house of worship and other quiet, critical environments. The redesigned Creation Station line includes two 4U and a 2U rackmount models, and a mini desktop model — all constructed at Sweetwater with top-grade components for maximum speed, performance, and reliability. All have a two-year warranty.
Housed in a sturdy 4U rackmountable chassis, the flagship CS450 boasts 32GB of RAM, a 3.4GHz 4-core/8-thread, 6th-Gen Intel i7 processor, a 500GB solid-state system drive, a 2TB audio drive, and a 2TB sample-library drive. The CS450 supports up to three displays, and includes a multi-format card reader and a DVD-RW drive. Geared toward the professional producer or musician, the top-of-the-line Creation Station is equipped with myriad connectivity options, offers nearly unlimited expansion, and is built to handle the most demanding projects.
The more affordable CS400 model uses a 3.3GHz, 4-core/4-thread, 6th-Gen Intel i5 processor and comes with 16GB of RAM, a 240GB solid-state system drive, and a 2TB audio/library drive. It also supports up to three monitors, and includes a DVD-RW drive and a multi-format card reader. Housed in a 4U rackmount enclosure, it offers broad connectivity, extensive expansion options, and is ideal for recording and music-creation setups.
The new Creation Station line also includes the CS250, housed in a compact, lightweight 2U rackmount case sized to fit any mobile rack. The CS250 features 8GB of RAM and a 2.7GHz, 4-core/4-thread, 6th-Gen Intel i5 processor. A 240GB solid-state system drive is included, along with a second 1TB audio/library drive and a DVD-RW drive. Three displays are supported. With its connectivity, expansion options, light weight, rack-friendly size, and durability, the CS250 is ideal for portable/remote recording and music-creation applications.
New to the Creation Station family is the mini desktop-format CS100. Housed in a tiny enclosure less than two inches tall and 4.53″ wide x 4.37″ deep, the CS100 features a 1.9GHz, 2-core/4-thread, 6th-Gen Intel i5 processor and 8GB of RAM along with a 500GB hard drive and SD card slot, the CS100 is the most compact Creation Station ever. It’s perfect for home studios where space is at a premium, ideal as a virtual instrument player, and outstanding for super-portable DJ and remote recording rigs. Two displays are supported, and the CS100 offers Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0, and SATA connectivity.
Each of the next-generation Creation Station computers uses the Windows 10 64-bit operating system and comes complete with a USB keyboard and mouse. In addition, any Creation Station may be ordered as a turnkey system with all software, audio interfaces, and other peripherals pre-installed and tested at Sweetwater — just open the box, plug it in, and get to work.
