MENDRISIO, Switzerland — Schertler Group, comprised of Schertler SA, SR Technology and Velvet Strings, announced a new business model for its products in North America.

More details from Schertler Group (www.schertlergroup.com):

Following a very successful 6-month run in Europe, the Schertler Group of companies (Schertler SA, SR Technology and Velvet Strings) rolls out a new business model in North America. From August, customers can try and buy product from Authorized Centers, and can also purchase directly from the Schertler online store.

The first Authorized Centers have been named as Pepe Romero – Luthier, Oceanside (CA); Dave’s Woodstock Music, Woodstock (IL); Django Books, Seattle (WA), Lidgett Music, Council Bluffs (IA) and Shoreline Music, Durango (CO). Over the coming months, Schertler Group plans to have centers throughout the territory.

The new Authorized Centers have all previously proved themselves as successful Schertler product retailers. Each will now stock a range of products that are listed on the Schertler website for easy location by customers. The centers will also host product clinics and demonstrations during the year. To celebrate the roll out, new Minimum Advertised Pricing is also being announced on some products.

From the end of August, customers who are not located near an Authorized Center can buy products directly from the online store at Schertler HQ in Switzerland. Orders over USD 150.00 will be shipped free of charge.

“We’re very pleased to be launching our new business model in North America and to be welcoming our first Authorized Centers on board,” says Schertler Sales & Marketing Manager Drago Dujak. “Our aim is to make Schertler Group products more easily accessible worldwide, backed up with excellent levels of service and support. The new model has already proved very successful in Europe and we now look forward to developing it here in North America.”
