BEAVER CREEK, CO — For the first time in 15 years, the Alpine World Ski Championships will take place in the USA. But the skiing is only the beginning of the fun slated for Beaver Creek, Colorado from February 2-15. For two weeks, the Denver-based and family-owned Kaleidoscope Productions is providing a full-service, concierge-grade AV production using Harman Professional equipment in conjunction with Beaver Creek Resort Company and the Alpine World Ski Championships, which represents the largest collection of ski racing talent in the world.
More details from Harman (www.harman.com):
Harman made it possible for Kaleidoscope Productions to fulfill its mission to use the best equipment the industry has to offer. Founded by husband and wife Stephen and Carrie Ridgeway, Kaleidoscope has more than 20 years of production experience. It has grown considerably in the past few years into a full service sound, lighting, and video production company.
At the center of the social extravaganza is the well-known Beaver Creek ice skating rink, which will be transformed into a lively indoor beer garden. The stage will host live music and DJs using the best quality audio products provided by HARMAN. “See and hear the difference. That is the promise we make to our clients and HARMAN equipment helps us deliver,” said Carrie Ridgeway. “Deploying JBL VRX loudspeakers, Crown amplifiers, and a Soundcraft SI Performer 3 allows us to provide the highest quality audio with the high-end aesthetic our clients have to come expect.”
Kaleidoscope is providing all necessary equipment and delivering entertainment at an affordable cost to the venue. Working with a qualified vendor such as Kaleidoscope Productions allows resort businesses to have access to high-quality equipment, production and event execution that would be almost impossible if coordinated with their own resources.
The heated tent is open daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with live broadcasting of all of the races throughout the day. Following the day’s events the tent will transform into Club InterX, the after-race DJ dance party.
The equipment being used for the event includes the JBL VRX 932-LA-1 loudspeakers and VRX918 subwoofers, JBL STX812 and PRX612 loudspeakers, powered with Crown I-Tech 6000 and I-Tech 4000 amplifiers. The audio and lighting control will be executed with the Soundcraft SI Performer 3 which features 32 local recallable mic pre amps and eight stereo inputs. The Visi App and Powered by Crown App will insure the equipment runs smoothly and cohesively.
