MELBOURNE, Australia — To help Melbourne visitors and residents ring in 2014, the city is organizing four “night live sites” that are envisioned as “entertainment nests” dotted around the city. Each “nest” is featuring music, visuals and pyro effects. SAE Audio is playing a key role.

More details from SAE Audio (www.saeaudio.com):

The system SAE Audio is supplying to each entertainment nest consist of:

One SAE Audio VP active line array system on each corner (four corners) of each nest.

Per corner is: 4x V2208P mid/high speaker, 1x V1212P low speaker, 1x V1218P subwoofer.

Per nest is: 16x V2208P mid/high speaker, 4x V1212P low speaker, 4x V1218P subwoofer.

One SAE Audio LP26 loudspeaker processor.

One SAE Audio 1048 signal distributor.

One SAE Audio 2008 power sequencer.

So, in total the system for this project (all four nests) consist of:

64x V2208P

16x V1212P

16x V1218P

The company in charge of developing the “entertainment nests” discovered the VP line array at the Prolight+Sound Shanghai 2013 outdoor line array demonstration. They soon realized the VP active line array was the system they were looking for. It’s compact size and light weight, along with it’s easy installation, made it very convenient to fit with the nest dimensions, but overall it was the powerful and clear sound the reason they decided to move ahead with SAE Audio.
