LAS VEGAS — The FRONT of HOUSE web servers are once again laboring under the strain of a digital deluge of votes cast for the 2013 Parnelli Hometown Hero Sound Company of the Year award, but they’ll be getting a rest after this Friday, Aug. 30, at 5 pm. That’s the deadline for FOH readers to cast their votes narrowing the field of 30 regional companies now on the Hometown Hero ballot down to six regional winners (five U.S. regions and all of Canada).
If you haven’t yet voted for your favorite Hometown Hero sound company, this is the last week to do so for the 2013 competition. In September, as nominations for other Parnelli Awards categories continues at http://parnelliawards.com/nominate.php and http://parnelliawards.com/nominate_ITawards.php, all those electronic votes will be carefully tallied and the six regional winners will be announced. These same companies will also take their place on the 2013 Parnelli Awards Ballot prior to its release in October, during the month-long process of voting for all the other Parnelli Awards categories.
The companies, individuals and products that garner the most votes in October — there are more than two dozen awards categories in all —will then be honored at the 2013 Parnelli Awards gala, set this year for Nov. 23, 2013 at the Las Vegas Mirage. That winners circle will include, of course, the 2013 Parnelli Award Winner for Hometown Hero Sound Company of the Year.
