Daddy’s Junky Music Shuts Down after 39 Years

MANCHESTER, NH – Daddy's Junky Music's 39 years in business came to an abrupt halt Oct. 26 when the company's creditors assumed ownership of the 12 stores and all the inventory in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Vermont.
The stores were closed and employees laid off, and Fred Bramante, who had founded the company and built it into the 14th largest music retail chain in the nation, was reportedly focusing his efforts on getting repaired gear and ordered parts back to the customers who had paid for those services. Since the techs were among those laid off, a portion of that gear was expected to be returned to customers unrepaired.
