FOH Staff • On the Move • August 9, 2007

OLD LYME, CT & NEW SOUTH WALES, AUSTRALIA — In a joint announcement, Sennheiser USA and Australian Monitor have agreed to end their three-year distribution agreement in North America for Australian Monitor products. The announcement comes as Australian Monitor seeks to add more product categories in the U.S. and Latin American markets.

Beginning September 1, distribution in the United States will be continued by Starin Marketing, Inc., an audio, video and multimedia distributor located in Chesterton, Indiana. Chris Smith, director of international sales for the brand is also interviewing to replace distribution in Latin America but no agreement is yet in place.

For over 25 years Australian Monitor has been designing and developing innovative and robust products for the commercial and professional market. Australian Monitor is distributed in over 75 countries and serviced by nine warehouses in four continents.

"We have enjoyed working with Australian Monitor and wish them continued success," said David McNutt, industry team leader for installed sound at Sennheiser.

"Sennheiser has taken Australian Monitor to a solid level in the Americas and we have had a great working relationship," said Smith.

In a related story, Sennheiser also announced double-digit growth for the past fiscal year. Click here for more information.
