WILLEBROEK, Belgium — AED Distribution, distributor for QSC Pro Audio in several European countries including the U.K.. Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, has added to its staff. The company named Florian Herkert account manager for Germany. He will work to develop sales within the QSC Pro Audio segment there. Also joining AED Distribution is Stef De Pooter. He will serve as business development manager for the Systems market.

AED Distribution continues to expand its International staff with the appointment of two members to focus on the further development of QSC Pro Audio & QSC Systems. Two new staff members join AED Distribution, the exclusive distributor in BeNeLux, Germany and UK for the QSC PRO portfolio, including popular product lines like K, KW and KLA loudspekers, TouchMix digital mixers, GXD and PLD amplifiers, WideLine line arrays and other products primarily intended for the portable, production and rental markets.
Florian Herkert is appointed as Account Manager for Germany where he will take care of developing the sales of the QSC Pro Audio segment. Furthermore, with AED Distribution representing products in the BeNeLux like Q-Sys, AcousticDesign and CXD amplifiers oriented towards the integrated systems market, Stef De Pooter joins the team in his role as Business Development Manager for the Systems market.

Florian Herkert
A logical step was the appointment of Florian Herkert as Account Manager Germany, who will work alongside his colleague Account Manager for Germany, Carsten Schiedeck. Florian comes with a background as FOH and studio engineer and was involved in several studio-, live- and TV productions. He has a bachelor in Audio Engineering at the SAE Institute Stuttgart. Besides his work in the field, Florian has been working as Sales Manager PA & Light at one of the biggest retailers in Germany. With the appointment of Florian, AED Distribution will focus on building a new strategic rental partner program for Germany with focus on the Touring product portfolio of QSC Pro Audio.
Florian Herkert comments: ”I have always admired the QSC products, especially for their fantastic sound. I still remember my first FOH job with the KLA system – so easy to work with – and I was amazed by the sound quality of the system. I know that many rental companies in Germany want to have a closer look at QSC Pro products, so I look forward to introducing them to QSC’s touring products”. Stef De Pooter
Stef De Pooter completes the AED Distribution team as Business Development Manager for QSC Systems in the BeNeLux. His main role will be to further develop the Systems business where the company wishes to reinforce its presence. Stef has more than 25 years of experience in the professional audio business both as studio and FOH sound engineer and in pro-audio sales. Before this transition to AED, he held the position of Belgian office manager at Audio XL.
Stef comments: “I am very excited to join the AED family which was previously one of our largest accounts at Audio XL and where myself and my team were in very close contact with. AED is one of those companies that has a very clear and strong vision on the AV & entertainment market and therefore has a very influential role now and in the future.
