TEL AVIV, Israel – Waves Audio has announced the upcoming release of SoundGrid, which gives users the ability to run large numbers of Waves' audio processors using standard PCs via Ethernet, surpassing the specs of dedicated DSP-based platforms.
With its low latency performance, SoundGrid lets users take advantage of more audio processors and CPU-intensive processors. In this way, Waves is leveraging the recent advances in Ethernet and CPU technologies for better, more cost-effective performance for the pro audio and live sound markets.
