FLORHAM PARK, NJ – Ashly noted its role in an audio upgrade to Florham Park Roller Rink. Scott Hibbard of Scott Hibbard Audio chose Ashly’s EcoTour amplifiers for the project at the site, the third oldest rink in the U.S. It has been in continuous operation since 1937.
More details from Ashly (www.ashly.com):
Hibbard’s goals were simple; to create a system as efficient and reliable as possible without compromising on sound quality, to honor and support the owner’s investment in their business, and to positively impact the customer’s experience by creating a sonically infectious and fun atmosphere. The sound system had to be powerful, but it also had to be smooth and enjoyable over extended listening periods, avoiding the listening fatigue that plagued the old system. It was also essential that the system improve on vocal intelligibility, which is a crucial element when instructional and safety announcements are made in a rink filled with hundreds of skaters.
To achieve these goals, Hibbard selected Ashly’s EcoTour amplifiers to provide power to a Danley signal processor and (10) Danley Sound Labs SM100F speakers. With two EcoTour 1500.4’s and an EcoTour 1500.2, each of the rink’s speakers are able to receive their own dedicated channel of amplification, all in 6U of rack space.
Says Hibbard, “I was drawn to the EcoTour for their extreme efficiency, enabling me to power all 3 amps from a single 20-amp circuit with no perceptible heat generated even after 10 hours of continuous use. I expect these efficiency levels will contribute to decades of trouble-free amplifier operation I’ve come to expect from Ashly.”
Ashly provides the EcoTour amplifiers in both 2 and 4-channel configurations, with 500W, 1,000W or 1,500W per channel. These stand-out amplifiers are known for demonstrating incredible stamina and power, and can drive longer and louder than amps twice their rated power and cost, with a smaller carbon footprint.
“Ashly is proud to be an integral part of this historically important, transformative project.” Said Noel Larson, General Manager of Ashly Audio. “In addition, working with Scott Hibbard is a pleasure. They have made sure this important installation is available for the next generation!”
The designers at Ashly are proud to have provided the power to The Florham Park Roller Rink, and are thrilled to see yet another satisfied customer, and assuredly many happy skaters for years to come.
