BURLINGTON, WI – Sven Pro Sound based in Milwaukee, WI recently used gear from d&b audiotechnik and Allen & Heath for a high-impact solution to sound complaints at The Coffee House at Chestnut and Pine in Burlington, WI. Sven Pro Sound specified a d&b speaker system consisting of two Q10’s and two Q-SUBs, powered from a single d&b 10D amplifier. The system is mixed by an Allen & Heath GLD-80 with inputs from an AR2412 and an AR84.
More details from Sven Pro Sound (www.svenprosound.com):
The Coffee House at Chestnut and Pine has a strong focus on music and sponsors a yearly outdoor festival which brings thousands of people to downtown Burlington, WI for indie rock and folk music. In addition, it hosts weekly concerts throughout the year on its indoor stage bringing national touring artists to a small-town intimate setting.
The original sound system on the indoor stage was not sufficient for allowing the audience to experience the music properly and was consistently pushed to its limit which caused degradation in sound quality. In addition, it lacked precise dispersion control of the sound which caused unnecessary reverberations throughout the room, leading to a loss of audio clarity. Sven “With the new addition of the D&B Audiotechnik system and Allen & Heath digital mixing system, The Coffee House at Chestnut and Pine is now able to cater to artists even better” says Brady Garrison, Chief Systems Integrator and System Designer at Sven Pro Sound. This setup is able to please any performer while simultaneously allowing the audience to enjoy the music with no degradation of the audio or annoyances caused by equipment insufficiencies.
Commenting on the difference, one of the owners, also a musician, noticed a significant increase in clarity with the new equipment. “We notice every nuance in the music. It opens up another level that we’ve never heard before”. Audiences and performers alike are enjoying this noticeable upgrade at The Coffee House at Chestnut and Pine.
