Sound Image’s Dave Shadoan on the Parnelli Awards’ Move to NAMM

ANAHEIM, CA – Earlier this year, Sound Image’s president and member of the Parnelli Board, Dave Shadoan, sat down with NAMM’s oral historian, Dan Del Fiorentino, for an extensive interview. Here’s a clip from that where Dave shares his insight into the decision for the Parnelli Awards to move to NAMM and be part of the new NAMM Live!

Dave Shadoan is the president of Sound Image, one of the largest Live Sound companies in the world. His longtime partner and good friend, Ross Ritto, formed Silverfish Audio with Joel Silverman in 1971. Dave later joined the company and by 1981 became half owner with Ross. They changed the name and soon became known as Sound Image. While providing touring equipment and creating their own gear such as loudspeakers, the company soon expanded to include a Contracting Division as well as a Corporate Audio Department. Along the way, Dave has been a strong supporter of the Parnelli Awards and has served on the board in order to honor innovations, lifetime achievement and the men and women of touring industry.
