ORANGE, CA — As workhorses go, SKB Corporation’s most recent upgrade to its manufacturing facility here is a Clydesdale, weighing in at 225,000 pounds. Pictured here is the new hydraulic toggle injection molding system with SKB founders Dave Sanderson, left, and Steve Kottman, right.
SKB says the new machinery will deliver improved repeatability, faster response time, energy savings and other efficiencies. While the unit also represents a significant investment by SKB, it should allow the company to expand into new market sectors with increased productivity and long-term growth, according to Sanderson, president, and Kottman, CEO.
“For the past 30 years, SKB has always been a leader in our field, and this piece of equipment offers significant enhancements to what SKB can offer,” Sanderson said. “The strength, finesse, efficiency and precision of its operation will result in improved product construction and an even more innovative product line.”
Kottman echoed Sanderson’s remarks. “We are very excited about our new injection molding system and what it represents for our company, our sales partners and our customers. It’s a great way to cap off our 31st year.”
