LOS ANGELES – Grammy Awards performances including a Les Paul tribute by Jeff Beck and Imelda May, pictured here, and a Lady Gaga solo and duet with Elton John involved the use of Shure microphones, according to the manufacturer.

For the tribute to Les Paul, Jeff Beck and Imelda May performed "How High the Moon," a song performed by Les and his wife Mary Ford back in 1951. Both artists used Shure UHF-R wireless systems, with May singing into a UR2/SM58 transmitter.

Lady Gaga opened the 2010 Awards telecast with "Poker Face" using a Shure UHF-R wireless system, with a gold-plated UR2/SM58 handheld transmitter. She then switched to a chrome-plated UR2/SM58 for the Elton John duets, which included "Speechless" from her Fame Monster album and Sir Elton's "Your Song."
