NEW YORK – Shure gave an assist to the 12th annual Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC), which drew a nucleus of about 1,200 music industry insiders for industry panels, exhibitions, press conferences and networking events at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York and attracted a wider pool of Latin Alternative music enthusiasts with events staged at other venues, including SummerStage in Central Park.
Shure's support came in the form of gear used at the conference, including SM58, SM57 and Beta 52A microphones, and, at SummerStage, a UHF-R wireless system with an SM58 head. Shure, which has been supporting LAMC for three years, also provided gear for a prize giveaway to the LAMC "Artist Discovery" winner (Napoleon Solo from Spain this year), and various Shure-sponsored artists also play a key role at the event.
"We're proud to support these talented musicians as they continue to follow their passions and further their careers in the music industry," said Terri Hartman, director of marketing communications, Shure Americas.
