MONTREAL, Canada – Over a four-month period in mid-2009, Showworks Inc. supported performances for a long list of artists, including KISS, Buckcherry, Stone Temple Pilots, Counting Crows, Papa Roach, Our Lady Peace, Tim McGraw, Booker T and a cross-Canada tour for Bachmann Cummings (formerly The Guess Who) using a variety of EAW gear.
The gear lists included KF760 and NTL720 line arrays, SB1000zR, MW12 Microwedges, NT and JF series, UX8800 and more.
"Everywhere we've gone, we've gotten rave reviews about the PAs and the overall sound quality," said Sam Boyd, tour manager for the Bachman Cummings tour. "Whether we used the KF760s for larger venues (arenas or outdoor festivals) or the NTL720s for smaller, more intimate halls as the main PA, they sounded great and everyone was really happy."
As for the Microwedges, Boyd added, Burton Cummings "just loves them. We used other
monitors for years, but now that he's made the switch, he's thrilled with their sound and using them on tour."
Beginning in Vancouver in May 2009 with the Buckcherry/Papa Roach western Canada tour, and rounding-out with the end of the Bachmann Cummings tour in Montreal, with stops in every major city in Canada including Sarnia Ontario's Roger's Bayfest, the EAW gear was well represented and received positive responses from audiences and artists.
"We are extremely proud to have partnered with Showworks for these shows," said Elie Bellama, product manager for EAW at SF Marketing Inc., the Canadian distributor of EAW. SF touring and contracting representative and EAW specialist Rob Deslauriers traveled with the crew for the first part of their western Canada shows so as to work with them to fine-tune the PA and the entire audio system as it related to EAW.
"The customer support and service from Rob, SF Marketing and EAW has been instrumental in the success of Showworks," said Showworks co-owner Geoff Kent.
