LOS ANGELES – At the upcoming Audio Engineering Society convention in Los Angeles, Sensaphonics founder and President, Dr. Michael Santucci, Au.D., will join legendary sound engineer Mark Frink for their presentation, “IEM Fundamentals & Safe Sound.” The session takes place Saturday, Oct. 1 at noon on the Live Sound Events stage.

With their complementary perspectives as audiologist and engineer, Santucci and Frink bring a powerful combination of knowledge and perspective on hearing health and touring sound. The information presented at this session, when properly implemented, will help engineers create a stage environment conducive to both high-impact, high resolution monitoring and long-term hearing wellness.
Dr. Michael Santucci is an internationally acclaimed audiologist and hearing conservation expert. He is co-chair of the AES Technical Committee on Hearing and Hearing Loss Prevention. His firm, Sensaphonics, Inc., is a leading manufacturer of custom in-ear monitors. An independent engineer and tech writer, Mark Frink is production manager and sound engineer for the Jacksonville Symphony. He has mixed major tours ranging from Zac Brown to the Three Tenors, and had done major events including the Super Bowl halftime show, the pope at Giants Stadium, and the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.
Live Sound Expo is dedicated to sound reinforcement topics, and is part of the AES Convention. The expo stage is located on the convention show floor along with the manufacturer exhibits, and is free to all registered attendees.
