NEW YORK – The Red Bull Air Race, televised in the U.S. on the Fox Sports Network (FSN), won an Emmy Award for the second time in a row for "Outstanding Technical Team Remote." The technical crew relied upon Riedel Communications' MediorNet technology for all on-site communications and signal distribution for the event. Riedel was also responsible for the wireless onboard HD cameras.
The Sports Emmy Award was bestowed by the National Academy of Television Arts and Science in New York. The category, "Outstanding Technical Team Remote," recognizes the technical portion of sports programs in remote venues. The programs are produced for FSN by U.S.-based G.R.A.C.E Productions, Austria-based West4Media and also Riedel Communications, SiVision and Sky Media.

Riedel Communications was an official supplier of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship for the seventh year in a row, providing the communications and signal distribution solutions, integrating both HD video and audio signals and also wireless and wired digital intercom systems. Riedel is also supplying the HD cameras and RF links for the race planes' onboard cameras, allowing for dramatic video to be delivered from the pilots' perspective.
