AUSTIN, TX – Omega Broadcast Group provided Riedel's Acrobat Wireless Intercom System to the XI Media staff at the South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival's Fader Fort stage.
The wireless system, which included Acrobat WB-2 beltpacks, was integrated with a Performer Digital Partyline Intercom via the Performer C44 System Interface.
Gabe Proctor, rentals manager at Omega Broadcast Group, cited audio quality and durability for choosing the Riedel Acrobat and Performer systems.
Riedel Communications' Acrobat Digital Wireless Intercom solution leverages the Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) standard's base layer to provide a license-free, cellular architecture with seamless hand-over between cells, allowing each Acrobat wireless beltpack to continuously monitor and automatically select the best connection to the Acrobat Cell Controller.
South by Southwest (SXSW) is one of the largest music festivals in the U.S., with more than 2,000 performers in 90 venues. The Fader Fort stage was sponsored by Fiat.
