BERKELEY, CA – “USITT Presents,” a series of one-day seminars that began with a Meyer Sound-sponsored event in Nashville, TN in February, followed by events sponsored by Studio Gear (Milwaukee, in March) and Chauvet (Miami, in June), will be hosted by Meyer Sound again at company headquarters here on Friday, Aug. 16. Instructor Mauricio Ramirez will lead the daylong session covering system design principles. The event will include hands-on use of Meyer Sound’s MAPP Online, SIM 3 audio analyzer and other tools.

USITT’s next USITT Presents one-day training will be on Friday, Aug. 16, at Meyer Sound Laboratories in Berkeley, California.

Participants should bring their own Internet-ready laptop computer.

USITT Presents is a series of hands-on workshops with industry leaders across the country, deeply discounted as a member benefit. Meyer Sound kicked off the series in February with a mixing class in Nashville that drew 17 students.

USITT has since held workshops with Studio Gear in Milwaukee in March and with Chauvet in Miami on June 3. All have received rave reviews, said USITT Stage Expo manager Ron Procopio.

The Meyer workshop is recommended for audio students, system technicians, contractors, dealers, and rental companies new to Meyer Sound.

The cost for the 9-to-5 session, including lunch, is $60 for USITT members, and $30 for student/early career members. The cost is $120 and $60 for non-member professionals and students.
