ASHBURN, VA — Quake Entertainment, an AV production, installation, management and communications company, recently purchased a Waveburg Pro loudspeaker system to enhance its capabilities for a wide range of events. The system includes eight LA-8 line array enclosures and four HL-118 ltr subs. The system is powered by two units Powersoft K10 DSP — one for subwoofer, one for mid-low and one unit K2 DSP for high frequency.

“In terms of shows, we do about half music and half corporate,” says company development manager Dina
“So when they came out with the Waveburg Pro system it was definitely something on our radar that we wanted to take a look at and invest in. We listened to a bunch of other similar sized PAs in a shootout situation and determined that LA-8 had the sound character and versatility we wanted and, most importantly, the sound of a big PA. My biggest pet peeve is to have a tiny PA that sounds like a tiny PA, LA-8 have one of a kind hand made wooden wave-guide to stay away from harsh professional stereotype sound quality, this horn generate wide coverage angle 120º and HL-118 subwoofer is a real high efficiency Subwoofer with SPL 105db @ 1 watt less cabinets and more power.
On other hand Dina decided to add Waveburg Pro as preferred supplier for installed sound and the only supplier for custom projects
