SCANDICCI, Italy — In 2010, Powersoft, entered into a strategic partnership with EAW to enable both companies to integrate proprietary EAW DSP algorithms into Powersoft’s K Series power amplifier line when equipped with DSP modules. Powersoft recently announced that the latest software upgrades for Powersoft’s K Series DSP amplifiers now support EAW Focusing as a result of this collaboration between EAW and Powersoft engineers.

End users powering EAW systems with K Series DSP amplifiers will experience all of the advantages of Powersoft technology including universal switch mode power supplies with Power Factor Correction (PFC) and patented Class D technology. K Series amplifiers offer >90% efficiency resulting in more overall power from less rack space and a reduction in amplifiers required per system.
Powersoft’s DSP circuitry – Active DampingControl, LiveImpedance Measurement, TruePower Limiter and other unique features – paired with EAW Focusing creates a fully integrated system package that promises a new standard in performance, handling and reliability.
The K Series consists of six models ranging from 2 x 2400 watt/channel @ 4 ohms to 2 x 9000 watts/channel @ 2 ohms – all within a single rack unit. All of the K Series amplifiers are incredibly light-weight and extremely efficient.
End users can obtain Greybox files from EAW and load them into the Powersoft K Series DSP platform utilizing Powersoft’s Armonía Pro Audio Suite software to facilitate system management.
The latest Armonía Pro Audio Suite software version as well as a Greybox-specific plug-in and the required amplifier and DSP firmware are available as free downloads from the Armonía support forum within Powersoft’s website.
