ANAHEIM, CA — NAMM’s “Believe In Music” awards honors people who have been passionate and innovative in developing the music industry. Among those leading industry professionals selected for their significant impact in the music products industry is 2019 award recipient, noted author and veteran pro audio journalist George Petersen, who is the editor of FRONT of HOUSE magazine as well as the director and founder of the NAMM TECnology Hall of Fame.
During his career, Petersen has written more than 2,500 articles on every aspect of audio and music production, as well as having penned 500 product reviews, five books (edited dozens more) and lectured extensively on audio production in five continents. Besides being a lifelong musician/singer/songwriter who began performing professionally at age 13, Petersen also founded the first digital recording studio in the San Francisco area and operates a boutique record label.
NAMM CEO Joe Lamond will present the 2019 “Believe in Music Award” to Petersen on Saturday, January 26th at 10am, during the NAMM show, at the NAMM Idea Center, located in the lobby of the Anaheim Convention Center. All NAMM attendees are welcome to attend.
