One Systems Introduces CrossField Array-2, Expanded Suspension Hardware Line

FRANKFURT, Germany — At Prolight + Sound (Hall 8, G40D), One Systems premiered its CrossField Array-2, a 55-by-30-degree vertical array with a fully rotatable high-frequency waveguide that enables the system to be oriented vertically or horizontally. The company also featured its expanded line of suspension accessories at the show.

More details from One Systems (www.onesystems.com):

The CrossField Array-2 includes  two large-format compression drivers coupled to a single horn and four bandwidth-optimized 10-inch woofers that are arranged in a 2 x 2 configuration.

Thanks to the CFA-2’s prodigious 1,200 watts continuous, 4,800 watts peak power handling and its high 104 dB (1 watt / 1 meter) sensitivity, the system is capable of nearly 135 dB continuous output at 1 meter (3.3 feet). The CFA-2’s ~ 141 dB max output capability means that it is capable of projecting highly intelligible, wide range sound from one end of an outdoor sports facility to cover seating areas on the opposite side.

Typical applications for the CFA-2 include football / soccer fields, large theme parks and other entertainment venues outdoors, or for use indoors in basketball / sports arenas or other high ambient noise environments where high output, long-throw projection and high intelligibility are required.

The CFA-2’s enclosure is made of laminated fiberglass and is equipped with 9 x M10 inserts for rigging. The inserts are supported with an internal metal substructure that ensures high >8:1 safety factor. A variety of optional suspension accessories are available including eyebolts, a U-Bracket, a pan / tilt bracket and a pole mount system. The system’s ingress protection / weather rating is IP 56.

The CrossField Array-2 is equipped with an internal 600-watt autoformer that enables the speaker to be powered as a low-impedance (4 ohm) system or as a high-impedance (70.7 volt – 100 volt) system. The built-in autoformer has taps at 600 watts, 300 watts and 150 watts for maximum flexibility and has easy to use internal jumpers that enable quick configuration. The CrossField Array-2’s enclosure is comparatively small for a speaker with its performance capabilities – only 876.5 x 572.6 x 446.3 mm (34.5 x 22.5 x 17.6 in).

“One Systems continues to gain broader acceptance with customers and venues the world over due to our incredible sound quality, high output capability, product flexibility and being able to handle outdoor and indoor installations in weather conditions all over the world. The CFA-2’s beautiful sound, high output capability, compact size and flexible features make it another valuable addition to our product line,” says Doug MacCallum, president of One Systems, Inc.

One Systems has an expanded range of rigging solutionsExpanded Suspension Hardware Line

One Systems loudspeakers are used in a wide range of outdoor and indoor applications that require many different types of suspension hardware to ensure maximum flexibility and safety for customers. One Systems brackets are constructed of heavy-duty 304-grade powder coated stainless steel and have been rigorously tested for their intended applications. These new suspension accessories expand the range of products and update existing models to offer more installation and adjustment flexibility with even higher safety factors.

The new Pole Mount System-3 and Pole Mount System EX-3 are designed for mounting One Systems models 112IM, 212CIM, 212IM, 312CIM, CrossField Array and CrossField Array-2 on poles with diameters of 203 mm (8 inches) or greater. These brackets feature a tilt function that permits downward aiming in 5 degree increments from 0 degrees to a maximum of 35 degrees. These new Pole Mount Systems include hardware for attaching the bracket to the speaker and stainless steel quick links for adjustments and secondary safety support.

The PT-76 is a pan and tilt bracket that can be used for mounting One Systems CrossField Array, CrossField Array-2, 312CIM, 212IM, 212CIM and 112IM on walls or poles. The PT-76 provides horizontal “pan” adjustments up to 40 degrees in 13.3-degree increments on each side of its center position and vertical “tilt” adjustments up to 35 degrees in 5-degree increments. The PT-76 also includes various hardware pieces necessary for attaching the speaker to the bracket.

The PT-30 and PT-38 are pan and tilt brackets for One Systems 108IM and 208CIM models in applications that require mounting the speakers onto walls or poles. Each model provides horizontal “pan” adjustments up to 40 degrees in 13.3-degree increments on each side of its center position and vertical “tilt” adjustments up to 40 degrees in 8-degree increments. The PT-38 requires poles with 140 mm (5.5 inches) minimum diameter for mounting. The PT-30 can attach the 108IM and 208CIM on small-diameter poles as small as 102 mm (4 inches).

One Systems also offers most of its speaker mounting accessories in 316 marine-grade stainless steel for use on cruise ships and in other corrosive environments.

One Systems president Doug MacCallum said, “our range of suspension accessories encompasses everything from simple eyebolts, to U-Brackets, to pan and tilt brackets and pole mounts. We have the tools necessary to ensure that our products can be installed in almost any application safely and effectively. Our prior range of suspension accessories are well engineered, solidly built and have proven themselves over and over again in indoor and outdoor applications the world over. Our new and expanded models go even farther in providing the finest and safest speaker mounting hardware available.”
