LAS VEGAS – On Stage Audio (OSA) purchased a 54-box Martin Audio MLA Multi-cellular Loudspeaker Array system, joining North Carolina-based Special Event Services (SES) as key North American members in the MLA worldwide network. Other rental companies are also pooling resources to provide the gear to European customers.
OSA plans to station its MLA system across both its Chicago and Las Vegas facilities. The company also has offices in Detroit, Orlando and San Francisco.

"We're always on the lookout for technology to enable us to deliver increasingly clear and focused messages that meet our clients' audience expectations," said Jim Risgin, OSA vice president, adding that the MLA's "frequency response, SPL consistency, and sonic quality" promised to "set an entirely new standard of performance for OSA customers."

In Italy, three rental companies – Amandla Productions, Electra Service and Fumasoli Service – recently pooled their resources to form All Access srl, which acquired two complete Martin Audio MLA systems for their rental customers. The gear was sold following a demo staged by Martin Audio and Audiosales, its distributor for Italy.

Denmark-based ETP (European Tour Production) has also purchased a 36-box MLA system, following a MLA system purchase by Norway's Rubicon AS last fall. There are reported discussions of setting up a collaborative arrangement to provide the gear to customers in Scandinavia.

Martin Audio's MLA, recognized at PLASA last September, more recently won the MIPA Musikmesse International Press Award for Best PA System during the Pro Light+Sound expo in Frankfurt.
