PRIMOS, PA — The North American Theatre Engineering and Architecture Conference is being converted to a virtual event in July, 2021. The mission of the North American Theater Engineering and Architecture Conference (NATEAC) is to promote communication between architects, engineers, consultants, and manufacturers responsible for designing and building new theaters and renovating existing facilities in North America.

Conference director, Bill Sapsis explained. “Uncertainty and risk remain in abundance and it would be extremely foolish for us to attempt a face to face meeting in July. The safety of our attendees, presenters, sponsors and staff is paramount”.

Frances Thompson, NATEAC production manager added, “The past 10 months have shown that virtual conferences are possible and, given the right approach, can be successful. We’re working hard toward that goal.”

NATEAC plans to bring forward many of the presentations that were originally slated for the July 2020 event. The current COVID-19 crisis, and the live entertainment industry’s response to it, will also be discussed.
