One Systems Speakers Bring Power and Fidelity to North Carolina High School

NASHVILLE – This fall South Stokes High School in Walnut Cove, NC decided to upgrade the sound system for its outdoor athletics field, and chose One Systems speakers, a leading manufacturer of direct weather loudspeakers. Moxley Production Services of King, North Carolina performed the system design and installation of the 212IM systems.

South Stokes High School needed a powerful, weatherproof, sound system that could cover the entire stadium, which holds approximately 2,000 fans. "The main concern of the client, and the challenge of this installation was being able to have full bandwidth response for music and speech intelligibility for the fans in the bleachers, as well as the players on the field during the game," says LeVan Moxley, owner of Moxley Production Services. "The coaches and players wanted to hear the music clearly in order to raise their energy level during games."

South Stokes field is an example of a direct weather environment requiring highly intelligible speakers that can perform well for both music and spoken applications. With the speakers mounted to the top of the press box railings, each 212IM is designed to throw sound to both sides of the field from the home side. Due to the long throw capability of these speakers and the vocal intelligibility, the players and coaches are able to clearly hear the music.

"One Systems met and exceeded all of our needs and expectations; we are very pleased with the results. More important, the client is pleased," said Moxley.
