Martin Audio issued some tips to ensure that, as live events return, your speaker systems are in tip-top shape.
More details from Martin Audio (www.martin-audio.com):
We are all very much looking forward to the return of live music and events.
In preparation for this Martin Audio are taking this opportunity to remind our customers of the importance to once again power up and run their Martin Audio product and systems well in advance of event time, so that they can be sure that everything is fully functional and ready for action.
After such a prolonged period and over the winter months it is important to be mindful that items that have been held in storage may require extra care when turning them on once again.
As such, we are recommending to our customers that:
Product is inspected for damp/moisture and any signs of damage prior to use
That if product has been stored in a cold and damp environment that it is either kept warm for a period of 7 days or more or alternatively moved to a warmer environment for a period of 7 days or more
If the product is moved to a warmer environment, that further inspection is carried out for condensation over this period
Once a period of ‘climatisation’ has been carried out we recommend then that a light signal load is applied and that the system/product is run for a period of time to ensure that everything is operating as expected.
Whilst we appreciate that many of our customers will do this as a precaution, we are communicating this at this time to allow for plenty of opportunity to address any issues that may have arisen from such a long period of inactivity.
