NASHVILLE — For Luke Bryan’s “That’s My Kinda Night” Tour, now on its second leg for 2014, the audio crew has been relying upon Kelly SHU microphone shock-mount systems to provide both in-transit and operational support while offering  additional  isolation for the mics used to amplify drummer Kent Slucher’s kick drums.

The spring 2014 tour season brought rise to Award-winning country artist Luke Bryan’s “That’s My Kinda Night” Tour 2014. Launched from Columbus OH on 1/16/2014, the tour continues to roll across the U.S. and beyond for a total of 86 shows to date with more being added on an occasional basis. Now into Leg 2 of the Tour, the rigors of the road continue to take their toll on the gear travelling with the show.

The show’s main stage drum kit, a clear acrylic masterpiece from CRUSH Drums, is home to dual kick drum micing in the form of a Shure BETA 52A and a Shure BETA 91A . The BETA 52A is internally supported by The Kelly SHU Pro mounting system The BETA 91A is securely housed at all times in the comfortable Kelly SHU FLATZ mounting unit.

Both series of SHU support offers the convenience to leave the microphones with the drum during transport while providing exceptional signal isolation during performances. Drum Technician Tony Adams refers to the Kelly SHU system as “Brilliantly Simple and Flawless in Execution.”

As the show continues to entertain audiences, the crew and artists that make it all happen will be counting on their gear to work properly, night after night and at every venue. The Kelly SHU system is an integral part of making the drums and audio set-up at each of those venues a fast and reliable process.
