PRIMOS, PA — In light of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, The LRLR leadership, in consultation with the 2020 Ride Marshals, have decided that this year’s Long Reach Long Riders charity ride will be postponed until 2021. The current plan is to ride the same route that was originally planned for 2020.
Plans are being developed for an alternate ride for 2020, which will potentially involve a relay from West Coast to East Coast. The relay concept will call for short 1-2 day rides for individuals or small groups. It’s currently planned to start on the West Coast and finish in Maine. The start date for the relay ride is tentatively scheduled for June 20.
The LRLR wish to thank their sponsors for their support over the years and we look forward to continuing with the full ride next year. In the meantime, please stay safe. Wash your hands and practice social distancing while on and off your motorcycle.
The Long Reach Long Riders have been raising money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the Behind the Scenes Foundation since 2004. Behind The Scenes provides support for entertainment technology professionals who are seriously ill or injured; Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is the nation’s leading industry-based HIV/AIDS fundraising and grant-making organization.
