CALABASAS, CA – Line 6, Inc. announced a partnership with Guesthouse Projects' Greg McVeigh to facilitate artist relations with the pro-audio community for their XD-V series of digital wireless microphone systems. McVeigh will focus on professional touring, television, and fixed-installation shows and performances.
"I enjoy working with pro audio products that make the sound mixers' lives easier and the artists' performances great," said McVeigh. "Right out of the chute we got XD-V70 handheld mics on a world tour with Less Than Jake. The mics exceeded expectations on all levels and in some very tough environments. I'm convinced that Line 6 products have a place in the touring market."
All XD-V systems feature compander-free designs with audio specs ranging from 10 Hz to 20 kHz RF frequency response, up to 120 dB dynamic range, and 24-bit digital conversion. In addition, DCL (Digital Channel Lock) and PDP (Proprietary Data Placement) technologies provide encoded digital transmissions, govern against interference and audio artifacts, and promise reliable operation in hostile RF environments.
XD-V30 and XD-V70 also leverage Line 6's experience with digital modeling technologies with microphone models (one in XD-V30; seven in XD-V70) inspired by live-sound microphones, providing familiar sounds to performers, audiences and front-of-house engineers.
All four digital wireless systems broadcast in the 2.4GHz band, which avoids interference from high-powered sources and can be used, license-free, worldwide.
"Our XD-V digital wireless systems have rapidly begun to achieve success in the MI, worship and DJ markets," said Simon Jones, Line 6 vice president of new business development, "and our relationship with Greg will only serve to add to it as we garner maximum exposure and accelerated artist adoption."
