NEW YORK — Lectrosonics’ DM Series audio processors will be used for auto-mixing the technical program panel discussions during the 127th AES Convention Oct. 9-12. Five Lectrosonics DM812 Digital Automatic Matrix Mixers—one for each of the five different rooms where the panel discussions are to take place—will be inserted in-line between the microphones and mixing console. In addition to their ability to auto-mix up to 8 channels, the DM812 processors can be used to increase gain before feedback.
“These panel discussions provide tremendous information for attendees, so being able to clearly hear the panelists is crucial,” said Henry Cohen, AES Live Sound co-chair. “The Lectrosonics DM Series processors are well known for their performance attributes, so were clearly the product of choice for these important sessions.”
“We’re delighted to see our products being used in this capacity,” said Howard Kaufman, Lectrosonics’ greater New York area technical representative. “The DM processors have earned a stellar reputation for this very sort of application, so it’s very gratifying to be a vital part of the AES panel discussions.”
