CHULA VISTA, CA — Sound engineers Michael Apodaca and Rick Camp invite sound industry pros to demos and presentations on K-Array’s new, slim design, steerable Firenze KH8 touring system speakers at the Sleep Train Amphitheater in Chula Vista, CA (just south of San Diego), on Thursday, July 2, 2015.

Presented by NextGenAudio and open to any live sound industry pros, the free event will offer attendees the opportunity to experience the system and other gear in a large venue environment.

The event includes hands-on demos of:

• K-Array Firenze KH8 and KS8 subwoofers

• DiGiCo SD7 digital console

Referred to as “Slim Array Technology,” the KH8’s fit the name — each is built into a 46.4 x 19.7-inch (W x H) frame that’s less than eight inches deep, yet contains eight 8-inch neodymium woofers, eight 4-inch cone MF drivers and four 1.4-inch exit HF compression drivers, offering 120° horizontal and DSP-controllable vertical dispersion. Also standard is Powersoft internal triamplification, as well as beam steering, via the eight onboard DSP channels providing FIR control and delay within each KH8. The KS8 subwoofer rounds out the system.

Hosted on July 2, 2015, at the Sleep Train Amphitheater (2050 Entertainment Circle, Chula Vista, CA 91911), demos begin at 2 pm. An Avid Pro Tools HDx 2 system will be available and attendees can also bring their own Pro Tools session files for playback. Entrance and parking will be accessible through the backstage gate.
