Summer is here, which brings the 2025 InfoComm exhibition into the cavernous Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL from June 11-13. And hidden beyond the endless rows of display technologies, you’ll find the all-important audio section, with scores of booths dedicated to sound technologies, along with demo rooms where you can actually check out gear firsthand. There’s a lot to see — and hear. To help you navigate the packed halls of the bustling show floor, here are some new audio debuts to check out.

1-Sound launches four new speakers. For wall or ceiling flush mounting, the compact, 3-way Level L35 offers serious performance. The Monitor M35 is a high-SPL 3-way wedge packed into a box less than 6 inches tall and 20 inches wide. The double 8” Banquette SUB28 subwoofer is less than 8 inches tall; and the dual 10” SUB210 delivers bass down to 35 Hz with 128 dB SPLs.

Adamson Systems builds on its powered Vergence VGt cardioid, large-format line array module with the new complementary VGs subwoofer, sporting a single 19” Kevlar / neodymium driver, 6 kW of Class–D power, Milan control and onboard DSP.

Allen & Heath’s six new Qu mixers bring 96kHz FPGA and DEEP processing capabilities, Dante options and hardware enhancements to its digital mixing platform. Three frame sizes with 17, 24 or 32 faders (the top-end Qu-7 is shown here) are offered — all delivering 38 inputs (32 mono/linkable, 3 stereo), 12 mixes, 4 matrix, 6 FX engines, a 32×32 USB-C interface for DAW recording, 32-channel multitrack support via SD card, stereo recording and playback through the USB-A port and more.

Audinate’s Dante Controller 4.15 is now available. The update includes: Dante Media Encryption support; controller table information extraction; and a variety of other improvements to usability and application launch speed. BASSBOSS will demo its new speaker combo — the 10+ foot tall Stackatoa (Krakatoa on top + Makara-MK3 in the middle + Kraken-MK3 at the bottom) — along with its complete lineup of full-range speaker and subwoofer products, including the quad 21” Kraken-MK3s.

Clear-Com will demo its FreeSpeak Icon beltpack, a next-gen 1.9 GHz wireless intercom unit with eight channel buttons, a configurable reply key and Bluetooth 5.3 support. Also new is Version 4 of Arcadia, Clear-Com’s flagship intercom platform, delivering expanded capacity, enhanced flexibility, and streamlined connectivity for pro AV applications.

d&b audiotechnik will spotlight its CCL8 compact cardioid line array system (unveiled earlier this year) and the company has also teamed with L-Acoustics to launch milanmanager.com for accessing this innovative network management solution. The manufacturer-neutral site provides a unified resource for audio pros and manufacturers seeking to implement Milan-AVB networks across various applications.

DiGiCo has released Version 20 Software for its Quantum and SD-range consoles. The update includes worksurface integration for Fourier Audio and Sound Devices, the addition of a new Mustard Source Expander and an optional Theatre-software extension for the Quantum225.

DPA Microphones’ N-Series Digital Wireless Microphone System is a true diversity 470–870 MHz solution suited to live, house of worship, corporate events and installed systems. Along with the wireless receiver and bodypack transmitters, the new 2024 handheld can be used with various industry-standard mic heads, including several DPA models. The system includes PC or Mac remote control and monitoring software, which also features a frequency analyzer
covering the system’s entire bandwidth.

Funktion One’s Evo 2L is the mid-bass addition for its Evo 2, increasing headroom and enabling the full output capacity of the mid-high elements. A coupling mechanism enables quick and safe attachment of an Evo 2L to the top or bottom of an Evo 2, and pairs of Evo 2 and Evo 2L can be stacked or flown to form a powerful system for medium-sized venues and clubs.

K-array USA will debut the next-gen KX12 I and KXT18P additions to its Dragon Series speakers, which employ advanced tri-axial technology to deliver high SPLs with clarity for clubs, sports venues and DJ monitoring. Also new is the Dolomite KDR202P full-range tower loudspeaker with 10-inch subwoofers and 12 2-inch drivers.

L-Acoustics’ compact LA1.16i 16-channel amplified controller delivers high channel density in a space-saving 1U format. It’s designed for near-field and short-throw applications where higher SPLs aren’t the priority, such as front-fill and delay systems. Other applications include distributed background music, L-ISA spatial audio and Ambiance active acoustics installs and home cinemas. For network integration, the Milan-certified LA1.16i supports Milan-AVB and AES67 audio network protocols alongside AES/EBU and analog inputs.

Listen Technologies and Ampetronic are now shipping Auri, the first complete Auracast broadcast audio-based assistive listening system, so venues and end users can adopt Auracast broadcast audio technology for assistive listening in public spaces. Other assistive listening solutions on display include ListenWIFI v3.2, ListenTALK, ListenIR, ListenRF and Hearing Loops.

NEXO’s Alpha+ Hybrid Source Sound System is a quick and easy-to-stack three-box system that includes M210 Main, B218 Bass and
L20 Sub-bass modules. The M210 is a horn-loaded double-10” with four 3” HF compression drivers; the B218 a horn-loaded double-18”; and the L20 a bandpass single-20” taken from the existing P+ Series range. Stacked and installed systems of various sizes can be configured.

NTI’s NNR System handles noise nuisance assessment measurements in a simple, compact package. It serves as a major improvement to traditional approaches of evidence-gathering, using web-based 24/7 connectivity while the equipment is present in the complainant’s location. The system uses Data Explorer PC software combined with NTI’s XL3 Sound Level Meter for precision grade Class 1 measurement in accordance with the IEC 61672:2013 sound level meter standard.

PK Sound’s Tx Series of intelligent point source modules include the Tx14 and Tx26, with AVB networking and onboard DSP to complement the company’s Trinity range of robotic line source systems. The dual-6” Tx26 features 100° conical directivity with a 55 Hz-18 kHz response and 136 dB peak SPLs. The larger Tx14 offers 50°x70° directivity with a 50 Hz-18 kHz response and SPLs of 139 dB, from a 14” coaxial transducer with a 3” neodymium diaphragm compression driver.

Renkus–Heinz’s RHAON III (Renkus-Heinz Audio Operations Network) is the third generation of the company’s remote loudspeaker control and monitoring software. RHAON III also incorporates OmniBeam beam steering control of R-H’s flagship ICONYX series speakers, including Iconyx Gen5, IC Live Gen5 and IC Live X Series arrays.

Riedel will demo its DSP-1216HL SmartPanel, the latest addition to the 1200 Series Smart-Panel family, each of which serve as a space-saving, multi-functional interface for live event production, theaters, broadcast and OB van applications. The DSP-1216HL supports all three 1200 Series SmartPanel Apps — the Intercom App for real-time communication, the Control Panel App for seamless third-party integration and the Audio Monitoring App for high-performance audio monitoring.

Sennheiser is shipping its Spectera wideband wireless ecosystem, which puts a multichannel system into a single 1U rack unit, accommodating wireless mics, IEMs and control data in the very same RF channel and a single bodypack. Hardware includes the Base Station, the bidirectional SEK bodypack (in TV-UHF and 1.4 GHz versions), DAD transceiving antennas, MADI cards and accessories. The software for the ecosystem includes LinkDesk and the browser-based Spectera WebUI.

Solid State Logic will show the latest SSL Live V6 software for its flagship L650 and L350 Plus Live Series consoles. Also new are SSL Live Bundles — Dante and MADI-based turnkey packages that include a console, I/O, and interface — optimized for rental, touring, installation and house of worship applications.

Waves is shipping SuperRack LiveBox MADI, which joins its existing Dante-based native live processing engines and let users mix live with VST-3 plugins from Waves and all other manufacturers from one simple 2U box. SuperRack LiveBox MADI supports up to 128 channels (64 coaxial and 64 optical at 48 kHz; 32 optical and 32 coaxial at 96 kHz). It also features low latency, the industry-standard SuperRack Performer audio plug-in host and the Waves Live bundle, with more than 50 must-have plugins for live mixing.

Yamaha will demo its console line, now with console firmware upgrades and updates (both Mac and Windows) to the DM7 Editor (V1.7.2) and DM3 Editor (V3.0.0). The Editor applications offer online operation and offline setup and editing. In addition to full Selected Channel and Overview display operation, the DM7 Editor facilitates scene data management, patch list editing, channel name editing, and more — all storable to USB memory to load setups into the console when needed.
