SEATTLE, WA — Designed as an “audio incubator” — providing a stepping stone to help bring new audio product concepts to market — two long-established industry veterans have formed Inline Audio. A new approach to the product creation cycle, IA is intended to become the vehicle through which talented and visionary developers would be able to see their ideas through to completion and commercialization. Inline Audio would invest in these startups, and cultivate a portfolio of brands that could each stand on their own, with the support of engaged investors and sales channel partners.
The principals behind IA include Costa Lakoumentas (shown here), who during his 35-year career, held leadership roles in product management, marketing and sales for some of the industry’s leading brands, developing and launching more than 130 products and earning eight U.S. patents. The other co-founder, Al Walker has also worked extensively in brand and product management and has two decades of experience in regulatory compliance testing.
The company mission is to find and identify talented engineers, product developers and visionaries who have new product ideas that lay dormant and connect with investors, who would be more confident about a product concept after they see a prototype. Then — equipped with documentation, bills of materials, production schedules and sales forecasts — brands stand a far greater chance of securing needed capital to get products off the ground.
The IA concept is designed to forge a constructive exchange of ideas, built on trust, respect and inclusion, forming collaborations between inventors and investors for the mutual benefit of all in creating original and successful product designs.
