Steven Vandervort, a Las Vegas-based sound engineer and AV consultant, died June 5 after a long illness. He was 51.
As an AV design consultant, Vandervort worked on various properties within the CityCenter complex on behalf of Shen, Milson & Wilke. He had also worked as a sound engineer for theatrical productions staged at the MGM Grand, Bellagio, Wynn Las Vegas and Encore Las Vegas and, prior to that, had toured with many musical acts.
Vandervort is survived by his wife, Jill, two children, and his mother, Helen McKelvey. The Vandervort Memorial Fund has been established at Wells Fargo Bank (Acct. #6351730822) in Vandervort's memory.
