RICE LAKE, WI — Former Tasco sound mixer Charles “Chuck” Maynard Wiesner died Oct. 18 at his home. He was 65 and had a long career working with top artists. They included Nazareth, Ozzy Osbourne, Pat Travers, Boston, Tina Turner, Van Halen, Fleetwood Mac and others over a 30 year span. He gave up the road 12 years ago to work for Link Ford in Rice Lake, where he was Senior Master Certified in Ford and Lincoln Products and also won the Ford Presidential Award for five years in a row.
Born Oct. 1, 1951 in Rice Lake, WI to Maynard and Merial (Mittelstadt) Wiesner, Chuck moved to upstate New York after graduating from Rice Lake High School in 1969. There he worked with progressive folk-rock band McKendree Spring as their tour manager and began his career as a sound engineer.
Chuck Wiesner is survived by his daughter Madison and and son-in-law Ben Loftsgaarden; granddaughter, Avanelle Irene Loftsgaarden; mother Merial Wiesner; his brother and five sisters and many nephews and nieces.
A Celebration of Chuck Wiesner’s Life will start at 2:00 pm Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016 at the Piece of Heaven Campground in Rice Lake, WI. Visitation will be held from 3 – 7 pm Friday, October 28, 2016 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake.
