Carey Stewart Kress, 58, died at home April 15, 2009 after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. After enjoying a performance career in the 1970s and 1980s as a musician/lead singer for the rock band, Face Dancer, Kress developed an extensive Mid-Atlantic territory as a manufacturers rep. He worked in the professional audio industry for more than two decades and served as a rep for Sigmet Corp. for 10 years.
A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, his hobbies included working as sound engineer for local bands, home stereo/theatre design, auto mechanics, football, ice hockey, auto racing and airplane restoration. He is predeceased by his parents, Georgia Stewart and John Howard Kress, and survived by his wife, Lynn St.Clair Kress, son, Paul Rivenbark (Melissa), brother, Scott Kress (Bernel), nephew and niece, Scott Jr. and Kia, and grandchildren Linkoln and Isis.
