Each year, FRONT of HOUSE creates the Hometown Hero ballot and tallies votes from subscribers to determine six regional winners. The 30 regional sound companies on the ballot are geographically dispersed across North America, divided into five U.S. regions along with a sixth zone — all of Canada.
Hometown Hero voting needs to take place prior to the voting for the Parnelli Awards themselves. That way, the regional winners can be selected and automatically placed on the final Parnelli Awards ballot. FRONT of HOUSE readers can then vote for the “best of the best,” the regional winner most worthy of the national Parnelli Hometown Hero honor.
Because the Parnelli Awards are set for Oct. 24 at the Rio Hotel & Casino Las Vegas this year, the Parnelli Awards ballot and voting will take place during the month of September.
Along with the regional Hometown Hero finalists, the Parnelli Awards ballot will once again include manufacturer products vying for the 2015 Indispensable Technology (“IT”) Awards competition. IT Awards will honor innovation in Sound along with Lighting, Staging and Video categories. Nominations are being accepted at www.fohonline.com/it through July 31.
