LOS ANGELES – From July 10-19, high school students from across the U.S. were set to participate in the Grammy Foundation's sixth annual Grammy Camp-a 10-day residential summer camp hosted by the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music.
The program, taught by Grammy winning and nominated professionals, provides students with hands-on instruction in various music industry careers, including audio engineering, electronic music production, music journalism, concert promotion and production, and instrumental performance.

Among the companies supporting Grammy Camp is Avid, which offers an array of audio solutions for beginner, intermediate, and advanced audio professionals.

To help camp participants hone their skills on professional toolsets for composing, recording, editing and mixing music, Avid donated a number of products for this event, including its new M-Audio Axiom keyboard controllers and M-Audio ProFire interfaces with Pro Tools M-Powered software.  These solutions are being used throughout the camp's workshops, and for the Grammy Camp Showcase Concert on Sunday, July 18. Grammy Camp students are the first to use the new keyboards, which were not publicly available until July 18.
