WAUNAKEE, WI — The 7th Annual Full Compass Golf Event benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County brought some 120 golfers to The Meadows of Sixmile Creek, raising $8,850.
A heavy wind made an otherwise beautiful day chilly and pulled many shots off course, but couldn’t keep the golfers from having a good time. Later on, participants relaxed with music provided by a local DJ company, Juke Box Bandstand.
Prizes included tickets to Ron White at the Crystal Grand Theater in Wisconsin Dells, Wis., a four-pack of Milwaukee Brewers tickets and a variety of golf packages, audio equipment and gift-cards.
All participants in the event received gift bags and dinner. Top sponsors for the event included Great Dane Pub & Brewing Co. and Full Compass Systems suppliers Audio-Technica, Bosch Communications, SurgeX, and M-Audio/Digidesign.
The Boys and Girls Club of Dane County provides recreational and educational activities for youth in the area, focusing on the disadvantaged. This was the fifth year the Full Compass Golf Event benefited the club. Next year’s event is planned for May 15, 2010.
