ANAHEIM, CA — Ten historic musical and sound inventions dating from 1947 through 2000 (including the 1970-vintage ARP 2600 analog synthesizer, pictured here) will be inducted to the 10th annual NAMM TECnology Hall of Fame, Saturday, Jan. 24 at the Winter NAMM 2015 show. Presented by the NAMM Museum of Making Music, the awards are hosted by FRONT of HOUSE editor George Petersen.
“The inductees cover a wide range of breakthrough inventions that date back to the very roots of audio reproduction,” says Petersen, NAMM TECnology Hall of Fame chairman. “Interestingly, most of the products selected for this year are still in active use and are even considered classics, which says a lot about the lasting power of these innovations.”
The 2015 NAMM TECnology Hall of Fame inductees include:

1955 – Sony C-37A microphone
