Fishman Rebrands SoloAmp as the SA220 Performance System

ANDOVER, MA — Fishman Amplification is rebranding the SoloAmp as the SA220 Solo Performance System, citing new variations of the existing form factor expected in the future as the reason for the change. Commenting on the rebranding, company founder and president Larry Fishman stated, “Obviously, we’re happy about the positive reaction the SA220 has received since the beginning. But the fact that its form factor has proved to be so open-ended in terms of acceptance in new markets and future expansion of the product offering is really good news for us. We’re all very excited about this and look forward to expanding and further developing the SA220 for years to come.”

The system has been used in the studio by Jerry Douglas, Bob Weir, Jeff Pevar, Fiona Boyes and Pat DiNizio of The Smithereens, and has been gaining a following in the live audio and house of worship markets as well.

The SA220 system, with 220 watts of power, was designed for singer/songwriter/acoustic musicians. It includes a line array of six speakers and a soft dome tweeter, offering a combination of full sound, wide dispersion and sonic penetration without a subwoofer.

A P.A. and an amplifier in one format, the SA220 weighs 25 lbs. without the stand and can be carried in the supplied padded carry bag with wheels.
