WILMINGTON, DE – Naamans Creek Audio/Video updated the sound system at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Community Professional's Entasys three-way full range column array loudspeakers.
Built in 1925, the parish is on the National Register of Historic Places, so seamless visual integration was a priority along with clarity of the spoken word.
The Entasys system uses multiple low frequency, midrange and high frequency drivers to deliver a targeted vertical beamwidth from 800 Hz to 16 kHz, and Entasys' modular design allowed Naamans Creek Audio/Video to use multiple full-range columns for tight focused vertical coverage.
"Intelligibility was key, and the look and feel of the church could not be compromised," noted Anthony Albano of the Avondale, Penn.-based soundco. "Community delivers on both counts."
Painted with a faux finish to imitate the look of classic marble, the Entasys speakers were mounted on support columns on either side of the altar, with additional units midway back in the hall as delay speakers.
"The reviews have been wonderful," said Albano. "Sit anywhere in the church and you can understand every word of the spoken message."
