The Venue SC48 features an all-in-one design, with all I/O, digital signal processing and tactile control into one compact console. The unit also features support for professional audio plug-ins and built-in Pro Tools LE® integration. It also introduces workflows for user efficiency, allowing them to focus on the mix.
Like all Venue systems, the Venue SC48 uses Venue D-Show® software. With studio-grade mic preamps and built-in processing, including graphic EQ and dynamics, the support for professional plug-ins allows users to easily re-create an artist’s preferred studio sound live.
The SC48 also features a Pro Tools LE FireWire interface, making it easy to
connect a computer (sold separately) running Pro Tools LE software (included) for live show recording. Users can also perform Virtual Soundcheck to play tracks recorded from a previous performance in place of
the live mic/line inputs and fine-tune the mix before a show, without requiring the performers to be there.
The SC48’s workflow innovations include Channel Control, which gives users access to any channel strip function at the push of a button, including input parameters, EQ, dynamics, and Aux sends, through the console’s eight color-coded rotary encoders. Flex Channel can also be used to assign and gain perpetual access to a key channel. VCA Spill provides access to channels without banking, and the unit’s 999-snapshot capability lets users make complex changes quickly as well.
The Venue SC48 has a single output expansion slot, which lets users easily
install one additional output option card to meet their interface needs. They can expand their total analog output count to 32 with an AO16 Analog Output Card, and add 8 digital AES and 8 analog outputs with an XO16 Output Card. Alternately, they can supply A-Net® connectivity for Aviom® Pro16™ Series devices with an AT16 A-Net Output Card.
