DALY CITY, CA – Once upon a time there was a company called Avid widely known in the video editing world. And Avid owned a company called Digidesign that made software called Pro Tools for audio editing. We in the live tribe began to care a few years ago when Digidesign unleashed the VENUE system and the addition of processing plug-ins changed our working environment forever.
But now Digidesign is no more. No, VENUE is not going anywhere, but the parent company, Avid is bringing all of its products under one brand umbrella. So that Profile board you are running is now officially part of the Avid VENUE system. The Digidesign name goes away as of April 12.
