LAS VEGAS – The governing body of the Parnelli Awards announces the addition to its Board of Advisors Dean Roney of Solotech International Touring. The company is based in Montreal, with offices in Quebec City and Las Vegas. Roney has been in the live event business for 30 years, and has been with Solotech since 2008. Based in Las Vegas, he serves as the company's vice president of business development.
"It is a great honor to be asked to join some of the legends in the business on the Parnelli Board of Advisors," says Roney. "The Parnelli Awards are always an annual highlight, and I look forward to contributing to them in any way we can."

For three decades Solotech has been providing sound, lighting, video and new media for clients throughout North America and beyond. Founded in 1977, today it has a team of over 300 professionals working on events big and small. "Throughout the company's history, we've stood out through the passion we show for our profession," Roney says. Over the past 15 years the company has supplied the majority of the technical equipment for three world expos, and have worked on most of Canada's award shows. Solotech has been closely involved with Cirque du Soleil since its inception, and for more than 20 years the company has been behind the Montreal Jazz Festival. Their world touring clients have included Céline Dion, Michael Bublé, André Rieu, Leonard Cohen, Britney Spears, Bryan Adams and Diana Krall, among many others. In addition to Céline Dion's residency at Caesars Palace, the Vegas office has also been involved in both Cher and Bette Midler shows.

"Dean is a great addition to our Parnelli Board of Directors, and his experience and insight will go far in keeping with our desire to continue to expand and stay a vital part of our industry," says Terry Lowe, Parnelli Executive Director and publisher of PLSN and FOH magazines.
