LAS VEGAS – At LDI, DAS Audio will host three presentations to help audio professionals gain a deeper understanding of system design and live sound mixing. The presentations will take place at the company’s booth (#2736) – one each day during the show. On Friday, November 22nd, Jimmy Kwon, CTS, the Head of Audio for Criss Angel Mindfreak, the magic show that integrates the most sophisticated, cutting-edge technology in the world and boasts more than 75 of Criss’ iconic signature illusions, will give a presentation that focuses on mixing audio for theatrical and touring shows. Kwon will discuss techniques that help one maximize system performance while illustrating the unique attributes of DAS loudspeaker equipment and the benefits the equipment offers. Kwon’s Friday presentation will take place from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. This presentation will be repeated on Sunday, November 24th, also from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
On Saturday, November 23rd, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Aaron Beck, CTS, System Designer and Solotech Sr. Business Developer, will conduct the second of the three presentations during LDI 2019. Beck, who was the Sound Designer and Audio Project Manager for Criss Angel Mindfreak, will discuss implementing sound reinforcement for fixed installations to ensure consistent coverage throughout the space, provide clear speech intelligibility, natural sound reproduction for music, and a host of additional considerations.
