LAS VEGAS – Creative Technology, an international AV staging provider, has expanded its audio capabilities with recent additions to its inventory of gear, including new Soundcraft Vi6 and Avid Venue Profile consoles and Riedel Artist Intercom Systems.
Its recently-acquired Soundcraft Vi6 system consists of three components: a compact control surface, the local rack with the SCore Live processing engine and a stagebox, which connects to the local rack via Cat5 or Cat7 cable.
The 32-fader control surface delivers simultaneous mixing of 96 mono inputs into 35 outputs, with 24 insert send/return pairs assignable to any of the input or output channels. Features promising enhanced audio quality include a combination of low noise mic amp designs and Studer 40-bit floating point digital audio processing.
Creative Technology's new Avid Venue Profile, a 96 input, 32 output digital mixer, uses Venue FOH Rack and Stage Rack processing and I/O system. Designed for use with corporate and music events, it is particularly well-suited to events requiring quick and easy setup and a compact footprint.
Profile works in conjunction with Venue D-Show software (the common software platform on all Venue systems), offering a general-purpose interface (GPI), which allows the console to interact with external equipment and commands, fully compatible with all Venue I/O components.
CT also recently invested in Riedel Artist Digital Matrix Intercom Systems, which serves as a matrix platform for intercom and the distribution of analog and digital audio and TCP/IP data signals.
The systems consist of fiber-based network backbones providing decentralized infrastructures for live audio and intercom applications.
By investing in multiple systems, CT has the ability to link systems together via single mode fiber (LAN & WAN) and construct larger systems for large events or when more complex intercom requirements are required.
