PHOENIX — As part of its ongoing training series, Clearwing Productions will host the Meyer Mixing Workshop, instructed by Buford Jones. The event is set for Clearwing Productions Phoenix office April 24-25. Jones, a well-known FOH engineer, will share knowledge gleaned from years on the road, supporting a wide array of artists and genres.

Day one consists of lecture and presentations on the benefits of mixing on linear systems and discussions on various sound systems used in today’s markets. Day two of the seminar will include demonstrations on implementing common signal processing, hands-on mixing opportunities, and one-on-one advice to improve your skills.
Buford will cover all of the tips and tricks for mixing in concert halls, surround mixing, to mixing in isolation. He will also discuss communication styles between artists and the mix engineer, along with politics involved in any size production, from large-scale tours to corporate events and house of worship productions.
